This article is about the corruption of India.
Imagine your father is earning 8-10 thousand rupees per month. You are in fifth grade and you mom is a house wife. Your father goes to his office every day morning at 8 am and you go to school at the same time. By the time you come to house(rather home) your mother comes and gives you a kiss. Your father comes to house at 6:pm. You play with your dad and then study and sleep. Every weekend you got to a movie. You, your father and your mother, thats all - a small happy family. When you are playing in your house and you fall from a first floor. Your father , mother are shocked and will take you to the hospital. Your father pleads the doctor to save you. The doctor says that they need a certificate saying that it is not a suicide but an accident from the cops. Your father pleads the doctor to save you and he doesn't have that much time to bring the certificate. Then the doctor asks you father to give 500 rupees and he admit you. Your father cannot pay that much money and eventually goes to police station to get the certificate.
The cop at the police station has his legs on the top of his table and is smoking. You go and ask him to give the certificate. He again asks your father to get one more certificate from the local officer. So now your father has to get a certificate from the local officer and it is 11 pm in the night. So the office is closed and your father asks for another option to the cop. The Cop asks for 1000 rupees and then he can arrange the certificate. So imagine the state of your father now. He cant't pay the money and he wants to save your life. So he sells your mother's gold and pays the money to the doctor and also cop. By the time your father brings the money , he finds that you are dead.
Now readers , imagine the state of your father and mother. They have tried their level best to save you but could not. Your parents are in a helpless state. Your father is now sitting and thinking why these people are taking money for doing their own work. Your father lost his only child and is damn sad. He now has a mixed feeling , sad because you are dead and angry on that doctor and that cop.
This is the extent to which CORRUPTION can effect an ordinary family.
This is just a small example of a typical indian middle class family. There are lot of cases in which "corruption" can seriously effect a family. Many families are destroyed because of corruption.
So young indians , think what are the reasons for the corruption. I have thought of some reasons , please do add to them if there are any
Reasons:
1) LOW SALARIES
I think corruption is mainly widespread in government offices. "Under the tables" , "going to a nearest cafe" and stuff like that. I think it is because the salaries of these government employees. If these employees are paid higher salaries, then the possibility of corruption will decrease. See, the corruption in the software companies is comparatively very less. WHY? because the employees are paid higher salaries and they don't find any reason to ask for the small money. So, I think it is the responsibility of the government of india to increase the salaries of the employees.
2)LOOKING FOR THEIR OWN PROSPERITY
Many (in fact all) people look for their own prosperity. Many people don't look for the adverse effects that are caused due to corruption. In fact there are many effects. One of them is mentioned above and other is India has got a very bad name because of corruption and some companies do take the advantage of this and loot us. In fact this is how british army entered our country and ruled us for over 200 years.
3)No one doesn't care because they say that "If I stop taking this money will the whole country prosper? "- If every one thinks in the same manner then how will the corruption come to an end.
